What can we do for you?
The foundation of a development is the customer’s requirements. Sometimes these are expressed in the customers detailed specification but we are also used to develop the specification with the customer starting from scratch.
We utilize the technologies, components and topologies that best fit the product. Of course, we reuse earlier designs as much as possible to make use of previous experiences and our knowledge. However, for some developments this is not enough and we have to do research to find the optimal solution.
During the development process, we continuously verify that the result will meet applicable laws and standards as well as the required certifications and environmental requirements defined in the design specification.
Each market segment has its own set of requirements that must be considered and fulfilled. Our long and very broad experience in power supply development enables us to offer you custom designed products for a wide variety of electronics. Everything from small to very large, from one input to many inputs, from ultra low voltage (few V) to high voltage (10’s of kV), etc. Our strength is in complex designs with many output voltages, high isolation and tough environmental conditions.

Production
Powerbox undertakes projects with production runs of just a few units to very large volume per year. We have more than 30 Years experience in working with contract manufacturers. As not being tide to any specific factory we are free to select the best alternative. For products manufactured in large quantities we use partners in China and for more complex products manufactured in mid to low quantities we use partners closer to the design cell and the customer.
Time
We know how important the TIME is for our customers. The development time for projects decreases year by year. Life cycles become shorter leading to shortened call-off requirements. Powerbox is able to meet the demands of the market by managing shorter development times. We also try to be flexible in production volume and manage short call-offs for production, thus decreasing time to market. We are used to customize also the logistic set up so we can handle all types from single order and supply to different type of Vendor-Managed-Inventory. Every project has its own life and soul, and we try to nurse the project for maximum flexibility and profitability for our customers.

Powerbox Norway was founded in 1980 as an Oslo based branch of the Swedish Powerbox Group. The Norwegian office specializes in military, marine and industrial power supply solutions and has with great success delivered professional power products to all aspects af the demanding Norwegian markets.
We have 28 years of experience in sale, design/development and manufacturing of power supplies and DC/DC converters for demanding markets.
